How to: Find certain file.
Solution:
Choose 'Open Document' from the 'Shortcut Bar' or select 'Open' from an application's 'File' menu. Type criteria to search for.
1) Use the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar:
a) Click 'Open Document' on the Office Shortcut Bar.
b) Do one of the following:
1] If part or all of the filename is known, type the filename in the 'File Name' box.
NOTE: If the complete filename is not used, use wildcard characters.
2] If text contained in the file is known, type it into the 'Text or property' box.
3] If the last modified date is known type this in the 'Last modified' box.
c) Select the file type from the 'Files of Type' drop-down list box.
d) Click 'Find Now'.
2) Find a file from within an application:
a) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Open'.
b) Select the directory in which to start from the 'Look in' drop-down list box.
c) Do one of the following:
1] If part or all of the filename is known, type the filename in the 'File Name' box.
NOTE: If the complete filename is not used, use wildcard characters.
2] If text contained in the file is known, type this into the 'Text or property' box.
3] If the last modified date is known type it in the 'Last modified' box.
d) Select the file type from the 'Files of Type' drop-down list box.
e) Click 'Find Now'.
